As we step into summer, Cedar Haven is happy to report that we are still COVID-Free! Our therapeutic recreation department and the entire team has continued to apply their talents, creativity, and energy to keeping all of our residents safe and smiling in a remarkable way. The Cedar Haven social distancing dance parties have been enjoyed by all and have been a fun way to help family members who are unable to visit at this time see their loved ones.
Our Resident Care Connection video calls have continued to increase in number every week. These virtual visits provide a valuable connection opportunity for residents and their loved ones. Specialist telehealth visits are now occurring for Orthopedics, Cardiology, Pulmonary, Pain Specialists, Psychiatry, Neurology, Hematology/Oncology, Urology, Vascular, and Urology via SAGE Health. We are thankful to be able to provide Specialist care in a safe and secure manner so that our residents do not need to experience an interruption in the care that they need.
One recent highlight was the 50’s day, when the Pink Ladies and even a few T-birds were seen at the facility and several staff members donned festive poodle skirts. The residents and team all enjoyed the cheerful walk down memory lane.
