This is the first in a new series of posts called “#EnjoyLifeWithUs,” that highlight the uniquely fun activity and event offerings that are a way of life at Cedar Haven.
On August 21st, our residents were able to enjoy our “Cruisin’ on the REC Trail” car show as local car enthusiasts drove their antique and modern cars to our grounds for the annual event. The Cedar Haven Car Show is always free to attend and for participants as well, as it is designed and orchestrated for the enjoyment of our residents.
Marcia Krause, our Director of Administrative Services, stated that “Watching the faces of our residents while listening to Dean-o sing “God Bless the USA” at our Car Show gave me goosebumps!” She went on to say that “They, as well as I were moved by Dean-O’s performance of this popular song. It was a beautiful day for the Car Show, and we are very appreciative of the car owners who participated in this wonderful event.”
Marie Anderson, Director of Therapeutic Recreation at Cedar Haven, wanted to express thanks to the team who made the special event possible: “Thank you to the TR team for all the hard work with helping to facilitate the Car Show,” she said. “Chris Heisey did it again this year. All of her hard work paid off: the residents, visitors, staff, and drivers had a blast at the Show. The Car Show would not have happened if it was not for her, we hope she plans on continuing the tradition.” We hope you all enjoy the fun pictures from the event below.
You can always view our full event calendar on our Events page.
