Elvis the Rockstar Pup

Meet Elvis, the one-and-a-half-year-old pup adopted by Kylie Troutman, RN. After a DNA test, Kylie discovered that Elvis is a rat terrier-chihuahua mix with a heart of gold. Known for his big smile (especially during belly rubs), Elvis has come a long way in his young life. He now spends his days playing with his three puppy sisters, enjoying the safe, happy home he deserves. Dressed up as the legendary Elvis himself, this little guy is living his best life!

Jack the Boxer with a Big Personality

Nicole Turner, RN, RAC-CT, shares her home with Jack, a three-year-old Boxer with a larger-than-life personality. Jack was the last puppy of his litter and found his perfect home with Nicole’s family. With his 80 lbs of love and devotion, Jack thinks he’s a lapdog and makes an excellent weighted blanket! Whether he’s watching MLS games or the movie Moana, this loyal shadow and adventure buddy is happiest wherever his family is.

Kelly’s Rescue Duo, Oliver & Olivia

Director of Rehabilitation Kelly Gehman, COTA/L, has two rescue buddies: Oliver the dog and Olivia the cat. These two fur pals love soaking up sunshine, playing chase, and cuddling with their favorite humans. Oliver, who’s been visiting Cedar Haven residents since he was a puppy, can’t wait to bring more smiles to our residents again soon.

At Cedar Haven Healthcare Center, we love celebrating not only the amazing work of our team members but also the furry friends who bring joy and laughter into their lives. In Part 2 of our staff pet feature, we’re excited to introduce you to more beloved pets of Cedar Haven’s team. Whether they’re chasing balloons, flashing their sweet smiles, or ruling the roost with diva energy, these pets are part of the Cedar Haven family too!

Snowy Lillian Styborski – Elizabeth Styborski’s Rabbit

Meet Snowy, a fluffy bundle of joy who has been with Elizabeth since she was just four weeks old. Snowy has a real knack for mischief—she’s known for chewing through walls and digging in the dirt. But her favorite activity? Chasing balloons and terrorizing the children, of course! Snowy’s love for vegetables and playful personality makes her the perfect rabbit companion for Elizabeth and her family.

LaDonna Burns’ Trio of Dogs

LaDonna has not one, not two, but three delightful dogs, each with their own unique personality:

• Mishka: A charcoal pom who is as multifaceted as they come, displaying multiple personalities that keep LaDonna on her toes.
• Humperdink Pumpernickel: This blonde pom is, according to LaDonna, “the sweetest boi to ever exist.” His gentle nature makes him the perfect cuddle companion.
• Beyonce: Rounding out the trio is Beyonce, a disheveled blonde mutt with Diva Energy. She’s the queen of the house and knows how to command attention!

Shelby – Sue Benson’s Grand Furbaby

Last but certainly not least is Shelby, a 2-year-old Shiba Inu who lights up the world with her sweet smile. Though Shelby is Sue’s “grand furbaby,” she’s very attached to Sue and follows her everywhere! Shelby has a special love for treats and chewing, but she’s also quite skittish and afraid of everything. Her smile and loving personality make her a joy to be around!

Hutch & Dyna – Derek L. Hartranft

Meet Hutch and Dyna, two trail-loving companions who live with Derek. They enjoy exploring the local trail near their home, taking in the fresh air and scenery. These adventurous pups are always up for a walk and love spending quality time outdoors with their family.

Peaches – Karen Lohr

This is Peaches, a 2-year-old bundle of energy who’s part Beagle and part Jack Russell Terrier. Peaches loves to cuddle and brings a lot of joy to everyone she meets, especially when she visits residents at Cedar Haven. Her sweet nature and wagging tail make her a favorite visitor!

Logan, Ozzy, & Ezzy – Kirstie Myers

Logan is a lovable Australian Shepherd mix who loves helping dad at work and relaxing at home with mom in the evenings. He’s full of energy and always ready to lend a paw. On the feline side, we have Ozzy, the loyal “stage 4 mommy clinger” who’s always at the door, waiting for Kirstie when she gets home. Then there’s Ezzy, Ozzy’s adorable niece who’s a tripod cat full of energy. Despite missing a back foot, she gallops through the house like a horse—always full of life and enthusiasm!
