We kicked off 2019 at Cedar Haven by presenting three of our outstanding staff-members with an Employee of the Month certificate and gift card as a way of saying thank you for all that they do on a daily basis.

Every month we choose staff members who are exemplary in the following ways:

  • Employees who are taking extraordinary steps in improving the lives of residents.
  • Employees who are alleviating concerns of residents’ loved ones and family members.
  • Employees who are providing guidance and mentorship to new members of the clinical staff.

Elsy Neuin

“Elsy concentrates on the welfare of residents and meeting their needs. She visits, communicates and tries to meet their requests. Elsy works to benefit the department and programs. She is encouraging and helpful to her coworkers when they need assistance and direction. Elsy takes charge of a program if needed and plans for this. She has a positive attitude.”

Emma Keller

“I witnessed Emma with a resident. Emma was so kind, calm and caring. The resident also communicated that Emma is “very good”. The resident’s family was also present and very appreciative of Emma.

Katie’s Klique Relay for Life Fundraiser

Katie’s Klique Relay for Life Fundraiser

The Relay for Life, hosted by The American Cancer Society each year, holds a special place in the hearts of Cedar Haven Healthcare Center staff and the Katie’s Klique team. This year’s event will be taking place on May 17, 2019, and the Katie’s Klique team has already started fundraiser efforts to support The American Cancer Society’s important work. Last weekend, “For Paint’s Sake” came to Cedar Haven and hosted a fun painting event to raise funds and awareness for the 2019 Relay of Life event. Participants were able to enjoy getting their creative juices flowing while painting a snowman masterpiece.

This month we have the privilege of recognizing an amazing group of Cedar Haven team-members, who go above and beyond in carrying out their daily duties. Thanks to our committed team, 2018 was a tremendous year for Cedar Haven (click to read our review of the year’s successes). Please join us in thanking these award winners, whose dedication to excellence helped us to achieve 100% deficiency-free status on care related issues this year as well as record levels of resident satisfaction.

Our Cedar Haven community, which is made up of administrators, supervisors, co-workers, residents, and family members, submitted many nominations for these recognition awards. With Thanksgiving recently passing and Christmas around the corner, we wanted to acknowledge how very thankful we are for all of our amazing employees who excellently care for our residents day after day.
