Cedar Haven is Thankful for… our Stellar Team + Walking Tacos

Thankfulness is defined as the awareness and appreciation of good things as well as the expression of gratitude. At Cedar Haven, November held many reasons to be thankful and express our gratitude.

The Cedar Haven team is a remarkable group of individuals who are dedicated to caring for and improving quality of life for our residents. Earlier in November we distributed grocery store gift cards as a small way to show our appreciation to the team. Last week, we set up a “Walking Taco” bar in our Administrator’s office as a way of saying THANK YOU for your dedication and commitment to caring for our residents with excellence. A “walking taco” is a taco salad assembled inside a Doritos chip bag. Team members also had a chance to enter their names into a drawing for YETI mugs. Please enjoy the pictures from this event and join us in saying “thanks” to the team the next time you see them!

Summer Hiring Event – Increased Sign-On Bonus up to $5,000 and Referral Bonus up to $500/referral

For a limited time, we have increased our Sign-On Bonus for new nursing staff-members and the Referral Bonus for our existing team-members who refer new hires to our team!

Now is the perfect time to join our team at Cedar Haven! For a limited time (between Memorial Day and Labor Day 2018), we are increasing our referral bonuses for staff (normally up to $300) up to $500. Employees who refer a new hire will receive $50 after their orientation, $100 after 3 months, and $350 after 1 year. We also increasing our Sign-On Bonuses for CNAs ($2,000), LPNs ($3,500), and RNs ($5,000) who are already licensed or certified when they join our team. GRNs may also be eligible for a Sign-On Bonus!

Former Cedar Haven employees rehired during the applicable period may be eligible for a Sign-on Bonus under certain limited circumstances (see our Sign-On Bonus page for details). If new employees remain employed in the nursing position for which they were hired, on a full-time basis, Cedar Haven will pay them the applicable Sign-On Bonus in three payments.

All employees are eligible to receive the referral bonus by referring a new hire to a Part-time or Full-time position. Referred employees must indicate the referring employee’s name on their employment application.

Join our 5-star Nursing Team and Receive a Sign-On Bonus!

In order to attract and retain qualified nursing staff, Cedar Haven is offering a Sign-On Bonus to qualified candidates hired as new employees to fill full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and Registered Nurse (RN) positions.

To be eligible for the Sign-On Bonus, candidates must already be certified or licensed and must be hired between November 29th, 2017 and March 31st, 2018. The total amount of the Sign-on Bonuses, which are payable over time, are as follows:

CNAs $1,500
LPNs $2,500
RNs $3,500

  • Former Cedar Haven employees who are rehired during the applicable period may be eligible for a sign-on bonus if they had a break in continuous service due to resignation for more than six (6) months, retirement, or failure to return to work as scheduled after an authorized leave of absence.
  • If new employees remain employed in the nursing position for which they were hired, on a full-time basis, Cedar Haven will pay them the applicable Sign-On Bonus in three payments: 15% after orientation, 20% after 6 months, and 65% after one year.
