We would like to offer congratulations to the 3 exemplary employees who received the Employee of the Month award for January. Please join us in congratulating them on their awards!

Every month, nominations are encouraged for employees who are taking extraordinary steps in improving the lives of residents, employees who are alleviating concerns of residents’ loved ones and family members, and employees who are providing guidance and mentorship to new members of the clinical staff. This month Angie, Alicia, and Raymond were selected. Learn more about them below!

Comments made by fellow staff members for January Employee of the Month Awards:

Alicia Majka-Ruiz, CNA

“Alicia goes above and beyond for the residents. She has been dressing the residents from rummage sales for years with her own money and time. Not to mention, she is excellent to work with and happy :).”

“She is always fun and kind to residents and co-workers. She is always punctual, works very hard, and works a ton of overtime. Never hear anything bad about her. She is a GREAT co-worker!

“She is kind to the residents. Always helpful to co-workers. Always smiling and upbeat. Excellent to work with.”

“Patient and kind to the residents. Answers bells in a timely manner. Always upbeat and positive.”

“She has a great relationship with residents and co-workers. She has been going to the rummage sales and buying clothing for the residents who don’t have money for family members.”

Andrea (Angie) Burke, CNA

“Angie is able to communicate and function with residents on that floor without causing any turmoil or confusion. The residents know her, recognize her, and respond to her kindness. This aide has worked on different units throughout the many years of her employment but she has found a successful journey on 4F for the many years she has been there.”

“Angie works very well with our residents. She has a very calm demeaner and takes her time with the residents which keeps them calm. The floor can be very chaotic and Angie helps to keep it running smoothly.”

“Angie is a long-time CNA on her floor. She practices in a calm, non-threatening manner. She can re-direct residents when needed. She is an asset to the 3-11pm team.”

Raymond Bleistine, Laundry

“I would like to nominate Ray Bleistine. He has been here for 36 years. He started out in dietary and is currently on the 11-7 shift in the laundry. He is a hard worker and dependable. He is always here doing his job and never has any issues. He is a good team employee.”

“Ray is kind to staff and residents. He always has a smile on his face when passing him in the hallways. He works very hard and is always at work when scheduled.”
