Our Employee of the Month and Quarterly Recognition Award Programs continued in June with the recognition of 12 Cedar Haven team members.

June Employees of the Month

Jill Kinsey, CNA

Jill goes above and beyond her daily duties to provide the best care to her residents. She is always concerned with hair appointments and shaving the residents. A resident recently told me “she is the best girl.” Jill also works a lot of overtime and stays on her floor for 2nd shift. Jill always reports to the charge nurse when a resident seems “off.” She deserves to be recognized for her hard work and dedication.

Jill responds to medical emergencies immediately and we are very appreciative of her assistance during these times.

Madeline Gallaher, LPN

Maddy is a wonderful charge nurse. She is compassionate and caring. She knows her residents and does a great job of making sure they get the best care. She does a great job of keeping it all together on the floor and managing/overseeing her nursing assistants. She completes all her work with professionalism and grace. She is great with residents and family. Maddy is quick to come up with a solution if there is an issue or concern. She orients new nurses. She is smart and very patient. Thank you for all you do, Maddy!

Amy Heblow, LPN and Wound Nurse

Amy shows her appreciation for her job by doing her job well. She utilizes herself by on the unit and by being a wound nurse. She has compassion and always has a smile on her face. She has been a nurse for many years and it shows in her work. I believe she deserves recognition for a job well done.

Amy wears many hats when it is necessary, wound team and charge nurse. She is an asset to our facility and needs to be recognized for all she does for her residents and co-workers. She always has a positive attitude and you can go to her for help anytime. Job Well Done!!

Regina MacNamara, CNA

Hester Shumate, CNA

Hester is always willing to help others that are not familiar of the floor. She takes initiative to assist all residents and go out of her way to give them everything they request. She has a pleasant and happy attitude with co-workers, staff, and visitors.
Hester is an excellent CNA. She is always willing to help co-workers and new employees. She assures that the residents are well taken care of and accepts them as if they are her loved one. She also picks up overtime when needed.

Robert Barlett, Maintenance

Bob has been at Cedar Haven for 37 years. He is a great worker and will do anything asked of him. He is loyal to Cedar Haven. He makes awesome cabinetry for the facility and is the director’s go-to man for building things.

Bob always does what is asked of him without any issues. He is well liked by all residents and co-workers. He deserves to be recognized!

Bob is always working hard on some project. Whenever asked to do something, he will do it or come back to do it as soon as he can. We appreciate everything he does for the residents, staff, and Cedar Haven. Thank you, Bob!

Jackie Putt, Payroll Clerk

Jackie continues to handle difficult payroll issues with zero mistakes. She takes on several additional responsibilities to assist employees daily. Very reliable and dependable.

Jackie works very hard and is willing to assist all employees with any question they may have. She always has a smile on her face no matter how stressful her day is. We appreciate everything Jackie does and she deserves to be recognized. Thank you, Jackie!

Debra Heagy, Housekeeping

Deb is a wonderful housekeeper. She is always willing to go the extra mile to help where needed. She never misses work. On the floor she works, they always tell me how she helps with the residents. She deserves to be nominated for this recognition.

Always willing to work hard. Always helping residents. Goes out of her way to help everyone. Thank you, Deb!

Kathy Carpenter, Central Supply Purchasing

Kathy is a valuable employee. She has worked hard to provide the residents with the best product with watching company costs. In addition, she is always willing to go out of her way to help residents. She assists the staff with feeding residents daily. She worked on the units during the snow storm to help the staff. Will stop to kid with the residents in the hall. These are just a few reasons why she needs to be recognized.

Kathy starts her day with a cheerful attitude. Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to her job in Central Supply. When ordering medical and stationary supplies, her goal is to find quality with the best price. She has always been helpful with residents by feeding at breakfast and assisting them on and off the elevators. Thank you for all you do, Kathy! The residents, staff, and Cedar Haven appreciate you!
