Cedar Haven Healthcare Center, a skilled nursing facility in Lebanon, provides high-quality care in a friendly and engaging atmosphere. Up to 100 fun activities are offered for our residents each month. This summer has held a number of fun and engaging events for our residents and their families to enjoy.
Activities Designed for You to Enjoy
This summer, our residents enjoyed a “Christmas in July” celebration and a rousing watermelon seed spitting competition. Best aim went to our Administrative Services Director, Marcia Krause and best form to our Director of Care Management, Crystal Arment. Our Director of Nursing Development, Kim Santiago, took home the prize for farthest distance. Congrats all and thank you for your ongoing efforts in making everyday special and fun for our residents.
In addition to hosting a number of resident family picnics, our Therapeutic Recreation department also went above and beyond in preparing an in-house mini golf course for our residents to enjoy. Here are some photos from their labor of love:
Therapies that Improve Quality of Life
Not all of our residents plan to stay with us long-term. Some join us to take advantage of our convenient in-house therapy department following a hospital stay due to illness, injury, or surgery. One such recent short-term resident graduated from our therapy program last week and had some kind words to say about Cedar Haven:
If somebody would need to go somewhere I would recommend Cedar Haven. The people that took care of me, I couldn’t find any better. On every shift I would ring the bell and they were right there and if I need to, will come back. The view is great and everyone is so pleasant.
