At Cedar Haven, we are celebrating Spring by sharing more about the great joy animals bring to our Team and residents! We began by sponsoring the adoption of a pet from the Humane Society of Lebanon County named Portia, who our Team selected to receive the Cedar Haven pet scholarship. Now, we would like to share some photos and thoughts with you from our Team of their furry friends. Please enjoy the adorable photos and happy sentiments!

Reese
Cat
Two days before I was supposed to adopt him from the Humane society I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. I didn’t think I could take care of a kitten but my daughter talked me into it. With my first chemo treatment I was very sick, he stayed by my side in bed and has been with me for almost 4 years now. During chemo he made me laugh every day. Between Reese, my family, friends and Cedar Haven family I made it through those very difficult times.
And he still thinks that bowl is his.
Who do you think was rescued?

Bernie and Cooper
Dogs
These are our boys: Bernie and Cooper Heffner 💟
They can be crazy maniacs, with lots of drool and shedding, but also bring us loads of happiness, fun, and doggie kisses! They are our loyal protectors. 💟🐶

Hercules, Cooper, and Enzo
Dogs
These are my three dogs. Cooper is the one in the front, 3 years old Golden Retriever, Enzo is in the back he is a two year old Great Pyrenees, and Hercules is on the left he is a 6 year old Brittany Spaniel.

Dyna, Kilo, and Hutch
Dogs
All are pit bulls, Dyna and Hutch have visited Cedar Haven on numerous occasions to see residents and staff. All love to go on walks and look out the back patio door for rabbits and squirrels. You can catch them on a sunny day laying in the sun sleeping. They are the biggest cuddlers you will ever meet.

Baby
Dog
Baby is an adorable Shih-Pom. Some may say she also resembles a cotton ball with a tail. She is full of energy, loving, and smart! She enjoys learning new commands and tricks such as spin, kisses, shake, and sit. She enjoys going to Starbucks for a delicious Puppuccino and shopping trips to Pet Smart. Baby also enjoys meeting other furry friends on her walks. Baby is loved so much and a fur-ever friend!
