Den CunninghamThis is the second post in our Staff Spotlight series. We would like to take this opportunity to honor Deb Cunningham for the work she has done at Cedar Haven as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) over the past 14 years.

Deb completed clinicals at Cedar Haven while in nursing school and really liked working at the facility. When asked what brought her to Cedar Haven in 2001, Deb said that she “knew a lot of other nurses who worked here. Cedar Haven always had a great reputation and I wanted to be a part of that.”

The LPNs at Cedar Haven spend their shifts caring for residents from start to finish. Deb’s duties include bringing medications to residents, charting, taking doctor orders, providing treatments, and orienting new nurses to the facility routines and policies.

Outside of work, Deb really enjoys her dogs, a Chihuahua mix and a Labradoodle—what a pair! Deb participates in a “Wagswalk” each year to raise money for the Kennel Club.

Deb remarked that her favorite aspects of working at Cedar Haven are “interacting with the residents and my coworkers, of course. I love my coworkers.”

I asked Deb if she had a favorite time of year in Lebanon or at Cedar Haven. She shared that Christmas is her favorite time of year and that she enjoys seeing the facility always decorated so nicely for the holidays.

Please join us at Cedar Haven in thanking Deb for the great work that she does with the residents and her coworkers.
