Donna Arnold works in the Therapeutic Recreation department at Cedar Haven Healthcare Center. She was enthusiastically recommended for the Staff Spotlight this month due to the great work she does beautifying the common areas at Cedar Haven with seasonal and holiday decorations. Donna is especially equipped for this task as she studied retail display design at a local vocational school. However, her displays really shine due to her love for the residents and their families.

Donna was quick to remark that she is grateful to work with such a creative and caring team of people. She also wanted to thank the management for all the opportunities she’s been given since joining Cedar Haven 15 years ago.

While her decorative skills are enjoyed by residents and staff alike, Donna is also busy helping residents during recreational activities, working in the gardens, and managing the gift shop. She noted that she loves to find “new ways to make the facility fun, special, and family friendly.” Donna enjoyed being around for the tea social that was hosted for families on Christmas Day this year. It’s no surprise that she enjoyed being involved in this special event, as she said that her favorite aspect of working at the facility is “helping residents every day” and that she feels like “the residents become friends” while she works with them.

When she is not at Cedar Haven, Donna can be found running a hog farm in Berks County with her husband. They are celebrating their 40th anniversary this Valentine’s Day. Please join us in thanking Donna for her exemplary service at Cedar Haven.
